In 1990, APAC opened a used furniture store; a place where low-income people can purchase quality used furniture at affordable prices. Our store operates as a training site and works with diverse organizations such as Athens County Jobs and Family Services, Athens County Court Systems, Food Pantry, ACEnet, Rural Action, Veteran's Services, The Glouster Community Center, local churches, and other non-profit organizations to provide a warm and caring working environment for training and mentoring.

What are you doing for your community? With businesses closing down and the unemployment rate so high, isn't it nice to have someone there to help you? Appalachian People's Action Coalition, a non-profit, member-based organization, has been doing just that by providing training, furniture, food, clothes and mentoring to the low income citizens of Athens County.
